live up, grow tough from the dirt.

hurt. my shoulder again. my glasses lost. keys tossed and found. and a scrapped up face to boot.
i still got my boots. my bike is okay, just three weeks and a day til i can ride again.
what should one do from then?
do flo show. get things bouncing. who wants in?

FLO AT THE FLICKER

the date: feb. 23rd.
the time: 9 until 11 @ the flicker bar and theatre
the fine: bring a dish to share (anything, we don't care) and get ten minutes on the mic (say what you like). or not. whatever. poetry, comedy, tea.
the divine: TURNIP (hip hop crazez bass) will perform throughout the night (if the feeling is right) or eugene willis (who is hella tight w/ live dj commericel lubricants).

for those of you who know what we going through, big ups to us!
come and share some food and 'tude.

8anapple #2 / summer solstice assemblage

yellow. liver here living it up on my last day of summer school. teaching 3rd, y'heard! last night @ flicker was amazing. what a wonderful, entertaining event. the fuzzlers riped (thanks to eddie and chris for the tune/toon and the 8abanana t-shirt). the waffles were bucking fantastic, apples as always, and siz-urp to boot. if you missed one, you missed out.

but you haven't missed your opportunity to buy the latest issue of 8anapple (copies will be distributed to bizarro wuxtry, daily co-op, oh boy!, etc.).

and you haven't missed your opportunity to see the summer solstice assemblage @ flicker (it will be up until june 28th - all through athfest).

the zine is th(f)ree dollaz.
the art show is free, but if a band is playing, ask nice to get by the door guy.

SUMMER SOLSTICE ASSEMBLAGE

WHO: you, me, all y'all. you can attend or put some pieces in!

WHAT: 8anapple's first annual summer solstice assemblage - this is a showing/sharing assembled to celebrate summer and the release of 8anapple #2. the art show will present work from various local artists highlighting their technique of assemblage. the zine collaboration is a mass-sharing of the minds: work from 8anapple (christopher ingham), xxx panda (kate lynn howell), pipe bomb (chelsea lee), gnarlside (ken freeman), criminal honey (a.k. ransom), and latex fishbowl (dc) doing the back cover. many many more if you wanna share. shit is sure to bring print media back to life.

WHEN: the show will be up from june 21st until june 28th. work will be hung on june 21st (the first day of spring). our solstice assemblage is socializing on june 23rd @ midnight. there will be music and munchies.
