WHAT: 8anapple's first annual summer solstice assemblage - this is a showing/sharing assembled to celebrate summer and the release of 8anapple #2. the art show will present work from various local artists highlighting their technique of assemblage. the zine collaboration is a mass-sharing of the minds: work from 8anapple (christopher ingham), xxx panda (kate lynn howell), pipe bomb (chelsea lee), gnarlside (ken freeman), criminal honey (a.k. ransom), and latex fishbowl (dc) doing the back cover. many many more if you wanna share. shit is sure to bring print media back to life.

WHEN: the show will be up from june 21st until june 28th. work will be hung on june 21st (the first day of spring). our solstice assemblage is socializing on june 23rd @ midnight. there will be music and munchies.

WHERE: the art show will be presented in the theatre of flicker bar & theatre.
WHY: why not. we got sol.
a "sun-standing" ! ! !sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still), because at the solstices, the Sun stands still in declination; that is, the apparent movement of the Sun's path north or south comes to a stop before reversing direction.
